When you want to connect with someone in person, at an event, or online, you have a few options. You can select between sending the user a link, or showing them your QR code.
Sending a potential client your personalized link: If you send the potential client the invite link (which can be rotated to track times/events/ circumstances or for security) the user will be brought to the bot's data collction form. They will be asked to enter their name, company and a few quick bits of info, which they can skip if they choose. The idea is to make it as easy as possible to get their basic information collected, enabling you to follow up more later.
Showing a potential client the QR code: If you are in person, simple click the "Add Prospect with QR Code" button, and a scannable, secure QR code image will appear. They can scan it with their camera and will be brought to the same input page as with a personalized link. Once they enter their information, it will be stored differently in a few different scenarios:
If the user is from a company/account that is new to your organization, the system will add the company as an account, add the contact to that new company, and store it under your account. You will receive a notification and your prospecting efforts will be tracked.
If the user is from an existing company that is currently covered by your organization, but belongs to another user, or is in unassigned, the contact will be added to that company and both you and the other user will be notified of the activity.
This ensures that both the person conducting the activity and the current owner of the account get credit and that no new potential client is left behind.
